Kenya Airways Strengthens Leadership Team with Key Executive Appointments
Kenya Airways has made significant changes to its leadership team as part of its ongoing efforts to enhance operational efficiency. The airline has announced the promotion of Hellen Mathuka to Chief Strategy and Innovation Officer, while Mary Mwenga has been appointed as the Acting Chief Financial Officer.
Hellen Mathuka, who has been with Kenya Airways since 2009, brings a wealth of experience from her previous roles within the company. Her career also includes key positions at East African Breweries Ltd, Ernst & Young, and Family Bank. Mathuka's academic credentials include a diploma in Airline Management from IATA and an executive business management certification from the Gordon Institute of Business Science.
Mary Mwenga, a veteran with 15 years in the aviation sector, will now serve as the Acting Chief Financial Officer. Mwenga's extensive experience at Kenya Airways includes her previous roles as Acting Head of Supply Chain & Facilities and Head of Finance.
With these strategic appointments, Kenya Airways aims to leverage the expertise of Mathuka and Mwenga to drive growth, improve operational performance, and deliver exceptional value to its stakeholders.
