Atheists Want Government To Implement One-Child Policy

Society of Atheists in Kenya has called upon the Kenyan government  to consider the implementation of once child policy.

Through a statement issued on Wednesday Atheists believe that this  will address the forever pressing issues of high unemployment rates and poverty levels among the youth in Kenya.

Harrison Mumia, President of the Atheist  community maintained that the measures would ensure that the policy’s benefits are widely felt.

“If implemented in over a 40-year period, this could lead to a significant reduction in poverty levels and increase job opportunities for future generations,” Mumia said.

The one-child policy would help alleviate the extreme poverty affecting Kenyans and ease the strain on essential resources such as food, water, and energy.

They stated that to support families adhering to this policy, it proposes that the Kenya Kwanza government provides various incentives.

These comprise of compliance certificates, affordable healthcare, offering free education, and interest-free loans to families.

Implementing this policy could potentially bring  long-term benefits similar to those experienced in China.

The impact of such a policy on the country's socio-economic landscape is a topic of increasing relevance and debate among various stakeholders in Kenya.
