''There Is No Investigations Involving Hanifa'' EACC Responds To Circulating Letter

The Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) has refuted as a letter that is circulating on social media alledging that it has summoned social nfluencer Hanifa Farsafi.
Terming it as fake EACC Spokesperson Eric Ngumbi has cleared the air stating that there is no investigations involving Hanifa, and that the letter does not originate from the Commission.
According to the fake letter Hanifa was supposed to avail herself at the EACC’s Integrity Centre by 9 am on Wednesday, July 24, 2024, and carry along letters related to her fundraising efforts.
“The Commission does not have any investigation relating to Hanifa Farsafi or her institution,” Ngumbi said.
Ngumbi also warned that such letters could be part of an increasing number of criminal activities where individuals are defrauding Kenyans by disguising as EACC officers.
Hanifa took to her X account and stated, “What is this?” accompanied by a laughing emoji, questioning the authenticity of the document.
