MP Salasya Condemns Dismissal of Gachagua's Staff Before Court Verdict
Mumias East MP Peter Salasya has criticized the government's decision to temporarily terminate the contracts of officers who worked for Rigathi Gachagua before his impeachment. Salasya argues that the action was inappropriate and bypassed proper procedure since Gachagua’s case is still pending in court. Around 108 staff members associated with the ousted deputy president reportedly received notices demanding they vacate their roles immediately. Salasya questioned the manner in which these junior officers were dismissed, asking whether their employment rights are protected by law and if there are any leaders willing to speak out on their behalf.
