Kithure Kindiki Reveals Why He never Addressed The Anti Government Protests
Interior cabinet secretary nominee Kithure Kindiki has addressed the reason as to why he never addressed the anti-government protests that paralysed the country's operation due to the younger generations dissatisfaction on how the government was operating.

Kithure whom the president revealed that his hardworking is the main reason why he was re-nominated into his postion noted that the Police are independent and do not take directions from him on operational matters.
"The reason I didn't talk every day is because the events were mainly operational issues. The work of CS Interior as envisaged in Article 245 of the constitution is to give organs of National security policy direction on policy guidance," Kindiki said.
He further revealed that the Police service is an independent unit and it receives orders on ooperational matters from the National Police service
"The Police is under independent command. There are only two people who can give the IG directions. The CS Interior on Policy issues and DPP on matters investigations. Other than that operational matters are handled by the NPS."
