"Don’t try Raila Odinga. We have already known what you are after in your mission,"~Nuru Okanga

Nuru Okanga, a fervent supporter of the Azimio movement and an aspiring politician, has stirred significant discussion among Kenyans with his recent comments following a disruptive incident at the Azimio Parliamentary Group meeting on Wednesday. Chaos erupted shortly after Dr. Stephen Kalonzo Musyoka, a co-principal in Azimio, took the stage to convey the party’s resolutions on behalf of Raila Odinga, who had departed early from the gathering.

In his speech, Nuru asserted that Raila Odinga possesses enforcers who would handle any disruptive youth with severity. “You are lucky Baba was not there but had we heard that he was there, you got weak ones there and not the real machineries. I want to tell Gen Z If you have been bought, we are the ones going to finish the protests. Raila has goons in this country, let me not talk badly, the Kware will be nothing. Don’t try Raila Odinga. We have already known what you are after in your mission."

He further called on President William Ruto to take a tough stance against protestors aiming to reach Statehouse and Uhuru Park. “Ruto don’t allow anyone to be seen at Statehouse,” Okanga said. He urged Gen Zs to give Ruto time until the next general elections as he had heeded to their call to reject the Finance Bill as well as sending home all the Cabinet Secretaries. “There is nowhere Ruto is going to. We don’t condone this business of you wanting Gachagua to lead this country. I am behind you Ruto,” he said.

Nuru Okanga's impassioned remarks have sparked controversy and debate, reflecting deep divisions within Kenyan politics. His statements regarding Raila Odinga's influence and urging of President William Ruto underscore the intensity of current political tensions and the complexities facing the nation.
