LSK Demands Justice for Murdered Wajir MCA Yussuf Hussein Ahmed
The Law Society of Kenya (LSK), led by its president Faith Odhiambo, is calling for an immediate investigation and the swift arrest of individuals responsible for the abduction and murder of Yussuf Hussein Ahmed, a Member of the Wajir County Assembly (MCA) representing Della Anole Ward.
Ahmed’s mutilated remains were discovered three days ago, following his disappearance for more than a month. Witnesses reported that his body bore signs of severe torture, including extensive burns and brutal beatings. The LSK has condemned the killing and vowed to keep a close watch on the case to ensure justice is served.
Reports indicate that Ahmed was kidnapped by unidentified men on the evening of Friday, September 13, 2024, at approximately 8:00 p.m. near Enterprise Road in Nairobi. The assailants, heavily armed and traveling in two unmarked Land Cruiser Prados, forcibly removed him from a taxi and transported him to an undisclosed location. His abduction was promptly reported to the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) at Makadara Police Station.
The LSK emphasized that Kenya is a nation governed by the rule of law, and such unlawful actions must not be tolerated under any circumstances.
