KETRACO Invests in Modernizing Kenya's Power Grid.

Kenya Electricity Transmission Company Limited (KETRACO) has announced a significant step towards modernizing its electricity infrastructure. The company has signed a contract with Grid Solution SAS to construct a new National System Control Center (NSCC) in Embakasi, Nairobi.

The NSCC will be a cutting-edge facility designed to enhance the stability and efficiency of Kenya's national electricity grid. It will enable the seamless integration of power from various sources, including renewable energy, and provide operators with advanced tools to manage and optimize grid operations.

The project, which is expected to be completed within three years, is being funded by the Agence Française de Développement (AFD) and the French Ministry of Finance. Upon completion, the NSCC will be a regional pioneer in electricity grid control and management.

Dr. John Mativo, KETRACO's Managing Director, expressed his enthusiasm for the project, stating, "This investment is a testament to our commitment to providing a reliable and efficient electricity supply to the nation.
