KEMRI Offers Free DNA Testing to Identify Hillside Endarsha Academy Fire Victims
Abdulahi Ali Chairperson of the Kenya Medical Research Institute (KEMRI), has announced that the institute is deploying its experts to assist in identifying the victims of the Hillside Endarsha Academy fire at no cost. KEMRI will cover the expenses for DNA testing services for the affected families, with the aim of speeding up the identification process and providing some measure of closure for those impacted by the tragedy.
In partnership with other multi-agency government teams, KEMRI’s experts have started collecting and analyzing DNA samples. Parents are being requested to provide DNA samples to facilitate the identification of their children's bodies.
