Eastleigh murders, Nairobi protest, abduction case, ransom payment, homicide investigation, severed hands discovery, Kamukunji crime scene, DCI interrogation, autopsy results business community staged a protest on Thursday morning, shutting down their shops to mourn the loss of three victims and demand swift justice. Outraged by the tragic killings, demonstrators called on political leaders to engage directly with them and address their grievances.

The case took a significant turn when detectives recovered a vehicle believed to have been involved in the kidnapping and murder of the victims. The car was found at Ukulima Market, Kamukunji, Nairobi, and is being scrutinized by the homicide team from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI).

In a chilling development, a woman of Somali descent, who claims to have been abducted alongside the victims, is now cooperating with investigators. She revealed that she was confined in the same room as the victims, with the abductors demanding ransom payments in exchange for their release. Her family reportedly raised Ksh. 1 million, which was transferred to an Ethiopian bank account to secure her freedom.

After the ransom was paid, the three victims met a gruesome fate. The body of Nuseiba Abdi was dumped in Bahati, while Amina Abdirashid’s remains were abandoned in Parklands. The perpetrators then picked up another woman along City Road before proceeding to South C, where they left behind the severed hands of Warris Daud. Later, the body of Warris Daud was discovered in Kyumbi, Machakos County.

CCTV footage and financial records from a petrol station where the suspect refueled are being analyzed to track movements. Investigators are also examining potential links to Warris Daud’s husband, who resides in the United Kingdom with a second wife. Police are exploring whether this second wife, who recently visited Kenya, holds crucial information about the murders.

An autopsy on the three victims will be conducted today, October 25, 2024, to provide further insights into the circumstances surrounding their deaths
