Machakos Governor Wavinya Ndeti Denounces Arrest Claims as False and Threatens Legal Action
Machakos Governor Wavinya Ndeti has strongly rejected allegations that she was detained in the United Kingdom with Sh679 million. In a statement issued on Monday, September 9, Ndeti condemned the reports as "unfounded rumors and false information," labeling them as defamatory and a misuse of digital platforms.
Ndeti criticized the accusations as insulting and a slight against the intelligence of both Machakos people and Kenyan citizens. She dismissed the idea of smuggling a large sum of money and facing detention as entirely implausible.
The governor reaffirmed her commitment to improving the lives of Machakos County residents and announced plans to take legal action against those spreading these unfounded claims. She cautioned that any threats or harm to her family would be attributed to the individuals behind these false reports.
"This harmful misinformation has put my family's safety at risk and fostered damaging perceptions," Ndeti asserted. "I advise those spreading these falsehoods to be ready with substantial evidence when confronted by legal authorities."
Ndeti assured that such attacks will not hinder her dedication to transforming Machakos County and advancing the welfare of its people.
