Simba Arati Assures President Ruto Of ODM's Support

Kisii Governor and ODM deputy party leader  Simba Arati has called upon Kenyan leaders to put aside their differences they have and embark on serving the people who elected them.

He said during his asdress in kisii whwere president is currently on a 3 day tour, he further asked that they all support President Ruto to deliver on his promises for the time that remains to the end of his first term.

"I want to plead with leaders who are here, let's put our differences aside and work with the President for remaining time to make sure development comes to the people."

His remarks come at a time when the country is still digesting the move by president William Ruto of including oppostion strongholds into governemnet in various cabinet positions.

Kisii Governor Simba Arati now says that the Opposition party, the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) is ready to work with President William Ruto.

Speaking in Kisii on Tuesday, Arati who had accompanied Ruto to the ground breaking of the Kisii Cancer Centre construction urged Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua to stick with the President.

"Mheshimiwa Naibu wa Rais, Kaa pamoja na Rais. Lakini mkikoroga yeye ule upande mwingine sisi kama ODM tuko tayari kutembea na yeye," which translates translates to, "Mr Deputy President, Stay with the President. But if you give him problems on the other side, we as ODM are ready to walk with him

 Ruto reconstructed his cabinent and nominated five leaders from the Opposition party to form part of the Cabinet and were later approved and sworn into office.

They include former ODM deputy party leaders Hassan Joho and Wycliffe Oparanya, former chairman John Mbadi, former National Assembly minority leader Opiyo Wandayi and Beatrice Askul, an official of the party.

Four have been approved to serve in their various Cabinet portfolios including Mining, Cooperatives, National Treasury and Energy respectively.
