"Not guilty,"Kawira Mwangaza Denies Charges Leveled Against Her

Embattled Meru Governor Kawira Mwangaza has denied all three charges levelled against her by the Meru County Assembly.

 Appearing before senate Mwangaza maintaed taht she is not guilty of the accusations tabled before the senate

"Not guilty," she said

The troubled governor is being represented by lawyers Elisha Ongoya and Elias Mutuma as lead as well as Bridah Kimathi, Robert Mutembei, Edgar Busienga and Collins Mwenda has survided impeachment twice in 2022 and 2024 

Her fate now lies in the Senate plenary that will hear her case, led by Lawyer Ndegwa Njiru as the lead counsel

Njiru will lead a legal team comprising Mwangi Ndegwa, Mwirigi Eric Muriuki, Mwereru Boniface Mawira, Antony Mwenda, Ngure Benson Kinyua, Baptista Muriuki Kanyaru and Linda Nkirote Kithinji.

The sponsor of the impeachment Zipporah Kinyua will appear in person accompanied by MCA Aurelio Murangiri Kiramana.

Kawira is facing three charges gross misconduct, abuse of office and gross violation of the constitution,
