Malala's Supporters Stride Angrily At The UDA Headquarters

A standoff has been experienced today at the United Democratic Alliance Headquaters along Ngong road after Malala's supporters staged demos protesting his removal as UDA Secretary General.

Chanting pro-Malala songs, the group carried posters thata insisted  that Cleophas Malala wa still the UDA Secretary General

The storms comes just afew hours after Lawyer Joe Khalende declared himself the new Secretary General stating that he had ousted Malala who according to  him was  going against the Party's objectives including being against the broad-based government formed by President William Ruto

Khalende also claimed that Malala has not been taking his duties as the SG seriously, therefore the need to replace him.

"He is against the formation of a broad-based government and I'm here to confirm that he is no longer the secretary general of the UDA party. I Joe Khalende will be taking over as the Secretary General of the UDA party,

Going forward, the UDA party is going back to its members. It was formed as a people-centred party, not on individuals within the party." Khalende said.

Denying the rumours  through a statement, Malala termed the letter that circulated on social media on Tuesday as 'propaganda'.

He further  insisted that the party is focused on helping tghe president achieve his campaign promises to the people of the Republic of Kenya.

"Ignore propaganda. The party is stable and focused on helping President William Ruto achieve his agenda for Kenya. Chama iko Imara," Malala said on X.

The letter alleging his resignation claimed that he had done so, after deep reflection on recent troubling developments.

Police were forcd to stay vigilant preventing the protestors from breaking in.
